Meet Roadie! Roadie is an active 5-month-old puppy and a total goofball who is ready to find a forever home. Roadie will do best with an active family who can give him lots of attention. He does well with other dogs of all sizes. Roadie recently met lots of people during our annual petting zoo and adoption event and loved the attention. A letter from Jennifer Finkelman, Founder, and President
As I reflect on this year and how far we have come as a rescue, an animal safe haven, a team, and a farm-ily, I thought it only right to share with those who have dedicated their support throughout the year.
This year we have grown tremendously; in our furry rescue residents, in our experiences, in our knowledge, in our volunteer team, but most importantly in the number of lives, we have been graciously able to save. With a focused and changed mindset from “I think I can do this” to “This is what WE do,” we are concluding one of our best years yet! We have worked tirelessly to help 47 dogs, horses, rabbits, and, even a few cats, find their forever homes in 2022! None would have survived without your help!
We have grown our presence in many ways to keep reaching and protecting the souls that need us. Our social media presence has grown and brought you all to us, our reach in the community has grown and will continue to grow, our public events are getting bigger and better, and the support we have received is nothing short of humbling. With growth comes hardships, but with all of you we are ready for them, with growth comes learning, giving us more to give back, with growth comes growing pains, but we Rescue On through them, and with growth comes joy. Joy in the friendships made along the way. Joy in the support we have received. Joy when we save a life from a high kill shelter, and/or the kill-pen. Joy when that same life finds the meaning of love in their forever home or on the farm, finally safe from harm.
As we close another trying year in rescue, we welcome the start of the new year knowing we have your support. Winter is officially upon us so please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers, cheer us on, and show your encouragement as the temperatures drop and the snow begins to fall. You give us the strength to Rescue On. We hope that as we close the year and for the years to come, we can continue to count on your support.
Thank you for everything you do for the rescue, our residents, our survivors, our volunteers, and for me, there are simply not enough words to describe our gratitude.
Get ready for 2023 because you will hear from us a lot! We have so much to look forward to from public events, video updates, newsletters, and volunteer opportunities, and we want to share it all with you.
